I am an entrepreneur, author, writer and speaker. Being an entrepreneur, writer and speaker has allowed me to pursue my passions in life. I am a Mom to three amazing children and married to my best friend. I am also the owner of Pinkys Got Purses, an online boutique. I have been writing for over 25 years. I have written several books, including children's books, short stories, songs and poems. I knew at a young age my life was a little different. I am a twin and my twin sister Jennifer and I were born 1 minute apart. At birth there was major complications. My sister was born with the umbilical cord around her neck 7 times. This cut off the oxygen to her brain and caused her to be blind and physically and mentally handicapped. I started writing at a young age. I wrote my first poem at the age of 15 called Jennifer's smile. It was published in a book and this just encouraged me more to write. So I did, one poem, one song and one story at a time. Sharing my story and owning my own business has been a blessing to me. My mission is to spread love and share Jennifer's Smile one story at a time.

I have loved purses my whole life. When I was a little girl my Mom would take me shopping with her and I always wanted to look at the purses. As I got older I realized I was a lot like my Moms Mom, my Grandma Kell. Her name was Marilyn Rae Kell. She had a purse for every outfit and always matched from head to toe. When I was little my parents would find me in her closet always dressing up in her cute clothes and buried in her purses. My love for handbags and purses started when I was young I guess. My Grandmother was a strong woman and I loved her so much. When I became a Mom myself, I knew I wanted to be home to raise my kids and give to them as much as I could. I also wanted to show my kids with hard work and never giving up that you can make your dreams come true. My Grandma's nickname was Pinky. It was what everyone called her. In 2008 she passed away and I will never forget her and the courage and strength she had in her life. I was pregnant with my third child and not knowing what I was having, I could not share with her when I found out I was having a girl. I named my daughter after her. I wanted to keep her memory alive. In 2012 I started Pinkys Got Purses and wanted to honor my Grandma and show my kids that having passion for something brings character and growth. I LOVE purses and my family and am blessed beyond measures to be able to do what I love and show my kids to be strong and never give up.
